Bio

From the time I was very little, I found such enjoyment sketching the world around me. Today I still prefer to work from life.

I have studied with such noted artists as Jack Callahan, Paul Leveille, Rudy Caleo, Charles Movalli, and Helen Van Wyk. A Pastel Society of America scholarship gave me a chance to study with Albert Handell at the Woodstock School of Art.

I am an elected artist of the North Shore Art Association, Rockport Art Association, Lyme Art Association and a Signature Member of the Connecticut Pastel society. After several years as a member of the Academic Artists Association, Springfield, MA, I was honored to be the president and now past president.

My paintings have received regional, national, and association awards. These include my painting “Domestic Arts", chosen by the Pastel Journal Magazine for their Top 100 Competition, and “Moonshiner Cabins” awarded the Diane Bernhard, Art Spirit Foundation Award at the CT Academy of Fine Art.
